About Liberto's Art
Continuing the creativity of talented parents born in the MidAtlantic Region, Mildred Anderson Liberto, a commercial artist and painter, and Peter M. Liberto an Italian woodworker and creator of many things. I am proud to continue their legacies.
With the proper intstruction of my mother I have been drawing and painting ever since I can remember. I have painted professional for the last 20 years focusing on landscapes, wildlife and still life images using oil paints on canvas. I have exhibited in many juried shows and won awards in the MidAtlantic Region.
My creativity has lead me to design and paint traditional floor cloths, or art painted canvas rugs and the craft of natural handcrafted soaps sold under the name of Coastal Cottage Soaps.
I have sold many paintings and donated works to local organizations. My goal is to share the love and joy I experience while producing my art with others through my paintings.
As a past Art Director with local, state and national art affiliations I am a advocate of the arts and arts education and really believe that "art is life".
I am proud to have created a "Folk Art" chair which is included in the Delaware's Folk Art Collection. The works in the collection reflect the local cultures of Delaware. The colleciton currently contains over 120 works from 50 artists.
